You'll never look at your feet the same way again - once you've seen My Reflexologist Says Feet Don't Lie.

  F A Q s

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions from our readers.

Question:
What is reflexology ?

Reflexology is the application of presure techniques to the feet and hands. Techniques target specific parts of the hand or foot to focus on particular body parts and body stresses. Reflexology has been found to be a safe and effective practice when applied in a conscientious program.

Question:
How can I benefit from reflexology?

Stress creates many physical maladies. Reflexology can first help you locate your stress on reflex maps of the foot or hand. With pressure techniques, you then relax the stress, thus impacting your health.

Take, for example, the experience of a long-time client. She was experiencing extreme gastric distress while returning from a trip. During the sixty-mile drive to the emergency room, she decided to try reflexology methods to ease her pain. She found a sensitivity stress cue on her hand and applied a reflexology technique. She successfully alleviated her symptoms and drove home instead of continuing to the hospital as had been her previous experience.

Another client became increasingly concerned as his throat virus continued in spite of medication. Kevin found a very prominent stress cue in the throat reflex area of the foot. The client had a target on which to focus self-help reflexology technique efforts. His stalled recovery suddenly rebounded.

Our years of experience in reflexology have shown us countless examples of people choosing reflexology to effect their health, taking control of their bodies and gaining a sense of satisfaction from being in charge. You too can choose reflexology to help yourself. (Kunz, Kevin and Kunz, Barbara, My Reflexologist Says Feet Don't Lie, RRP Press, 2001, pages 7 and 8)

Question:
What are stress cues?

A stress cue is, most simply, an indicator that a part of your body is under stress.

Question:
What do they reflect about my body?

Your body makes adaptations to cope with stress. The stress cues in the feet depict the adaptations. By reading the stress cues of the feet, you can become aware of your body's wear and tear pattern.

Question:
What can I do about stress cues?

Reflexology can first help you locate your stress cues and then give you the tools to relax the stress, thus impacting your health.

Question:
Can reflexology help my problem?

Over the years My Reflexologist has observed individuals who have successfully used reflexology to impact their health. Particular traits have emerged: get an attitude, set goals, use reflexology like an exercise, and make it a part of your life. My Reflexologist Says Feet Don't Lie is a manual on how to acheive your health goals.

Reasonably priced, the book includes color photographs to guide readers through the process of finding out if their feet lie or reveal helpful health information. A how-to chapter then describes techniques to be applied to work toward wellness. A color foot reflexology chart on the back cover provides at-a-glance reference.

Clients and reflexology students of all ages have delighted to find out from My Reflexologist whether their feet lie or reflect their health and well-being. ("I've never seen this man before and he knows all about me," noted one lady.) Now you and your shoppers can explore how the longer second toe, bunion, callousing, and other stress cues speak volumes about them and their health.

My Reflexologist is the internationally known reflexologist-writing team of Kevin and Barbara Kunz. My Reflexologist Says Feet Don't Lie presents twenty-five years of reflexology experience. It joins earlier Kunz and Kunz titles, bringing new information to another generation of readers. The Complete Guide to Foot Reflexology (now Revised) was the best-selling title from Prentice-Hall in 1982 and is a basic text of the field. Hand and Foot Reflexology, A Self-Help Guide remains on the American Booksellers Association's Basic Book List. Twenty foreign editions of Kunz and Kunz titles are published in nine languages.
